Job Summary:

Within an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer and Sales role, you will support customers and the sales team by providing technical sales assistance, preparing quotations, identifying application needs, and helping drive business growth through strong communication and industry research.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers about parameters and output needs for catalog spindles, special application spindles, and support equipment
  • Input sales quotes into our system
  • Comprehend blueprints and technical drawings that get sent to customers
  • Research our industries and continuously develop ideas for growth and increased sales opportunities
  • Assist customers with product selection and application questions
  • Work closely with engineering, service, and outside sales representatives to support customer needs
  • Follow up on quotations and customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Maintain organized and accurate customer and sales records

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in physics
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Technologically savvy
  • Willing to go out in the field occasionally for sales presentations, tradeshows, and customer visits
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn; training available.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business
  • Machine tool experience and knowledge is preferred
  • Experience in sales
  • Experience with CAD
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including motors and high-speed drives
